Never Gonna Give up
Its been seven years since I started Heaven Sent Cleaning. This summer has been so hard. I lost two long term very important clients. Sometimes people move on. And that has been so hard to be ok with. When you have clients, and you care, they become more than friends, they become part of your family. So losing them is like losing a long time friend who comes over for dinner every week.
It does not matter why clients choose to move on. What matters is taking from the time you had all the best that you learned. How you grew during that time. How your business grew. I've had cleaners before and I've had to move on from them. What has been hard has been finding the strength to keep moving on. The self confidence that I'm still just as good if not much better than I was 7 years ago. That I am worthy. I see so many people offering cleaning services and I know the job market is so hard right now. I work to let go of my resentment of those who jump on the bandwagon because they believe it will be an easy way to make some quick cash. I remind myself that is not why I am in this business. I'm not in it for the easy way. I'm in it for the challenge. I accept the change. More than anything I want to help people. I want to be the one who makes their home feel relaxing, comfortable. Who takes things off their minds and gives them time back to themselves. I want to be the thorough cleaner who does more than you expect and always leaves you feeling like what you got was worth so much more than what you paid. I've tried ads, posters, flyers, apps, direct leads. And so far... nothing yet. So how do I not give up? I remind myself why I started this in the first place. Why I chose to build this business and who I am honoring and who I am as a mother as a friend, as a person. I think of God and pray for help and guidance. And I trust.
